The Future

The HMGC hopes to deepen its impact on the girls that pass through the curriculum by helping the girls to find a vocation that will ensure their future independence and livelihood. This will be done by selecting those girls who have the capability to attend vocational training courses, or university courses and providing them with the funds to complete a course.

The HMGC also intends to replicate this project in the numerous other slums in Kenya, and perhaps one day beyond out borders.

The HMGC objective is to be self-sustaining through the income generated by the "Learn & Earn" centres. However until this is realized, the HMGC requires external funds to sustain its ambitions.

Each girls centre requires US$10,000 per year for teachers salaries, teaching materials, utilities. Each new centre requires between US$50,000 to $100,000 to set up.

Every penny we receive helps us towards creating a better future for the children on our country.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about our project.

HMGC has done me a lot of good. Before coming here, I found it quite hard to talk in front of large crowds, or even a group of friends. But now I feel more courageous than ever and can express myself freely. If it weren't for this school, maybe I wouldn't be a somebody."

"This school has given me an opportunity to deal with computers, which I am so grateful for. After finishing, I would like to advance in computer skills."
- Patrica

"This school has given me an access to Kenya Girl Guides of which there are so many opportunities to reach out to other countries."
